On December 3, Integrity Children’s Fund (ICF) spent half the day with a group of enthused, dedicated volunteers from Ernst & Young LLP (EY) as part of EY Connect Day, their annual day of service. While their commitment to creating social impact in our communities is strongly felt year-round, on EY Connect Day, the firm encourages its people to volunteer throughout their local communities with projects that align to their EY Ripples focus areas. This provides opportunities for EY people to use their skills, knowledge and experience to support the next generation workforce, work with impact entrepreneurs and to become stewards that accelerate environmental sustainability.
This year’s EY Connect Day project at Dunaire Elementary School (Dunaire) was a partnership with ICF focused on reading to the children, speaking with them about managing finances, painting a portion of the school’s facilities and launching EY participation in the Book Buddies Program. We were thrilled to have the EY volunteers at Dunaire and their impact is deeply felt!
